Office Timing
Government offices work Sundays to Thursday from 7.30 a.m to 2.30 p.m. Private institutions work longer hours with the timings generally being 8.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Some of these private institutions remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays, while others work half-day on Thursdays and closed on Friday. These days may vary due to the commercial purpose of business.
Shopping Malls are generally open from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. throughout the week. Both international as well as local branded products are available at competitive prices.
Public transport
Limo and taxi services provided by recognized car rental companies are available round-the-clock from the airport to any area, including even transfers from Bahrain airport to the East Coast of Saudi Arabia (Ohahranl Al Khobar). An efficiently – run, air-conditioned public transport system is also available for travel within Bahrain. Metered taxis and international car rental companies also provide vehicles on short or long-term rentals in the country. However, since night-time car rentals include a surcharge, visitors are advised to check before hiring them.
Embassies And Consulate
The consulates and embassies in the Kingdom of Bahrain Generally work from 7.30 a.m to 1.30 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays.
Airlines
Gulf Air is the national carrier of Kingdom of Bahrain. However, other major international airlines and their general sale agencies have their offices in the country and most of them work according to timings of private institutions.
Hotels
International luxury hotels can be found in the kingdom of Bahrain, besides also various categories ranging from five star to lower ratings being available for tourists. Besides these hotels, luxurious, fully-furnished apartments are also available on short and long- term lease, and provide various types of international entertainment.
Eating Out
The Kingdom of Bahrain caters to the dining tastes of all tourists through various hotels and high- quality restaurants that provide Lebanese, Chinese, Indian, Italian, French, Japanese, Continental and Arabic Cuisine.
Recreational & Tourist Attractions
The Kingdom of Bahrain has different recreational activities such as: Scuba diving, Deep Sea fishing, golfing, wind surfing, horse riding and so on.
